National Unwanted Call Trends

A live, rolling 30-day view pulled directly from the FCC's own Consumer Complaints (Unwanted Calls) open dataset — the same public dataset this directory's number pages were originally seeded from. Updated automatically on a weekly schedule.

What this page is (and isn't)

This page is not the same as the per-number directory elsewhere on this site. The numbers above are real, aggregate, nationwide counts pulled live from the FCC's own open Socrata dataset (resource vakf-fz8e, opendata.fcc.gov) — they cover all unwanted-call complaints the FCC receives, not just government-impersonation scams, and they are not broken down by individual phone number. The per-number pages in this directory (like the ones linked from Scam Types) use a separate, fixed one-time snapshot with categorisation methodology described on the About page.

We publish this trends page because it's the one part of this site that is genuinely live: it re-fetches from the FCC on a weekly cadence, so the numbers above reflect real complaint activity from roughly the last 30 days, not a snapshot frozen in time.
